- Generally valid for a period of one year from DOI. Certain airlines do consider an extension of validity if not used in the time frame. Some airlines are providing validity of 2 years without any extension.
- Can be used for any sector (not necessary the same sector that your ticket was booked)
- Majority of airlines give you the flexibility of using it on multiple occasions. This means you can split up the amount and use It at two different occasions
- Many airlines are also allowing to use this credit for other ancillary services provided by the airlines and not only for purchasing the ticket.
- Some airlines reward you with bonus for opting this and some allow you to even transfer it to any other passenger
- Non refundable
- There is a chance that you may not be able to use the entire amount or may not be able to use it at all
- If you don’t utilize the voucher, then you may stand a risk of not being able to claim it through your travel insurance as well.
- There’s no liquidity as cash

- Expiry of voucher & what happens after the expiry
- Reconfirm the validity of the voucher. Request for the exact date till when it will be valid (& don’t go for one year from DOI or any other general condition)
- If its refundable or not
- If the entire amount could be utilized or is there a chance a part of it could be forfeited?
